In a very short time, Eversolo has become one of the leading lights in next-generation audio products. It’s easy to dismiss the brand as an overnight success, but like all such winners, that ‘overnight success’ is the result of many, many years of painstaking research, development and product design. We spoke to Eversolo’s Chief Technology Officer, Spring Meng, about what goes into developing the exciting new face of audio!
Please introduce yourself!
I’m Spring Meng, CTO of Eversolo. I’ve spent over 20 years developing audio products, and it was my lifelong passion for music—and the pursuit of better sound—that ultimately brought me to the Eversolo team.
What makes Eversolo different?
Eversolo places a strong emphasis on investment in product Research and Development, and the T8 is no exception. Every product we make goes through a long development cycle—from market research and project initiation to early-stage exploration and full development—which usually takes between about eighteen months and two years. We want each product to be truly unique, not just a simple hardware refresh, and I believe the T8 accomplishes that.
We currently employ over 200 staff members, with about 40% of them being experienced engineers. All our hardware and software is fully developed in-house. We have dedicated listening rooms, testing facilities, and R&D laboratories — as well as a spacious tea and coffee lounge and outdoor seating areas where our engineers can relax, recharge, and find fresh inspiration.
What makes the T8 unique?
The T8 is our first streaming transport, designed to deliver a truly pure audio source. It features a comprehensive electrical isolation system, including eight-mode IIS outputs, professional-grade USB audio isolation, and 24-bit/192kHz coaxial noise reduction, which entirely prevent electromagnetic interference and signal crosstalk, guaranteeing absolute purity from source to output.
Powered by a low-noise linear power supply, the T8 features a custom 4N oxygen-free copper toroidal transformer that delivers stable, enduring energy to the audio system. All internal wiring is Teflon-insulated and shielded to isolate noise and guarantee clean current transmission effectively. Its ultra-precise, femtosecond-level clock system reduces jitter errors, ensuring accurate timing so every detail is faithfully reproduced.

We think this offers a pure listening experience that embodies our brand’s enduring mission: ongoing innovation, faithful musical reproduction, and a distinctly immersive auditory experience for our users.
When did the T8 project begin?
The T8 project was initiated about two years ago. We received a large amount of feedback from users asking for a dedicated streaming transport, and at the same time, our engineering team became deeply interested in this direction as well. Some users prefer a separated system design, while others already own high-quality DACs, which makes the T8 especially appealing to them. We carried out extensive optimisation specifically for the T8, and the positive response after its launch clearly shows how much audiophiles appreciate it.
What challenges did you face?
The biggest challenge in bringing the T8 from concept to production wasn’t simply enabling playback—it was ensuring that it could deliver pure, stable, and uncontaminated digital signals across any system. To achieve this, we built a dedicated ‘pure streaming transport’ architecture, incorporating a full electrical isolation system with an isolated IIS port (eight modes), USB audio isolation, coaxial noise suppression, and complete separation of the main, clock, and power systems. Achieving this within a compact chassis required meticulous structural design and precise signal-path control.
On the power side, the T8 uses a custom linear power supply, featuring independent regulation, multi-stage filtering, Teflon-shielded wiring, and magnetic leakage control, minimising the digital system’s sensitivity to power noise.
Finally, extensive blind and A/B testing across various system setups allowed us to verify the impact of clock, power, and noise structures on listening experience, ensuring consistent performance as a streaming transport in any environment.
In essence, the T8 is more than a playback device—it is a trustworthy “digital reference source” for the entire audio system.
Was the T8’s development complicated?
Overall, thanks to the success of our DMP series streamers and our highly-capable engineering team, the T8’s development went relatively smoothly.
