We have teamed up with our friends at Graham Audio to bring you a fantastic competition to win a pair of Graham Audio LS6 Anniversary loudspeakers worth £4,022. Graham Audio is one of the mainstays of BBC loudspeaker production today.
The loudspeakers draw on the full range of classic BBC designs—not simply the evergreen LS3/5a—producing a range of loudspeakers from small bookshelf monitors to large stand-mount classics.
Derek Hughes, the son of BBC loudspeaker legend Spencer Hughes, has lovingly reworked and recreated each design for the 21st Century.
Graham Audio’s loudspeaker designs extensively use hand-built drive units. Most of the components in each loudspeaker are UK or EU-sourced.
In the Anniversary editions, there are additional upgrades to existing models, including German-made WBT audiophile-grade terminals, van den Hul internal wiring throughout, and a redesigned crossover with upgraded components. Additionally, the loudspeaker includes an HF switch on the front baffle to tailor the loudspeaker to the room.
The LS6 Anniversary is the latest in this revised and substantially updated line. There will be just 100 pairs of each 10th-anniversary celebration model. They retain the classic thin-walled damped construction, featuring a 19mm soft-dome tweeter with a 165mm polypropylene mid/bass unit. Also, Graham Audio’s LS6 Anniversary features a real-wood eucalyptus veneer, only available in the LS5/9, LS3/5a, and LS6 Anniversary editions.
This is not simply a pleasant finish; it increases density and, therefore, the stiffness of the cabinet, resulting in lower resonance and better recovery of low-level musical information.
The Graham Audio LS6 Anniversary competition is a rare chance to win an exclusive version of an exclusive loudspeaker. Don’t miss out!
