WIN! One of three award winning AIM NAX ethernet cables worth over £3,000

AIM NAX

We’ve partnered with our friends at AIM Electronics to offer an exciting competition and a chance to win one of three award-winning NAX Ethernet cables worth over £3,000 each!

Alan Sircom reviewed the NAX in hi-fi+ Issue 248 (pages 111-112), where he wrote, “The ‘X’ in ‘NAX’ represents the Roman numeral 10. AIM Electronics’ NAX network cable features a dedicated conductor of high-purity oxygen-free copper with a pure silver coating, optimising signal transfer. NAX also employs a comprehensive, multi-layered shielding system called Hoplon, which includes a copper shield for the audio frequency band, a high-density copper braided shield for the lowfrequency range, and an aluminium shield for high-frequency noise.”

He went on to say, “Additionally, the cable features Pulshut® MU technology (developed by Asahi Kasei) to reduce both internal and external noise. Air 2, a foamed insulator that minimises dielectric constant and dissipation factor, enhances its performance. This Air 2 system brings the insulation closer to the optimal performance of air itself. Like the NA9, the cable terminates in high-quality Telegartner connectors.”

He concluded the review by saying, “AIM’s NAX gets under the skin of music in a way that opens up networked music. Its physical inflexibility aside, it does everything you will ever need from a network audio cable and does it much better than its predecessors. In my review of the NA9, I called it ‘blameless’ (in a positive sense). NAX sharpens that musical honesty and integrity even further. The NA9 has become a permanent flagship in my network, but it has taken a step back, because NAX now sets a new standard.”
