Pro-Ject introduces E1.2 BT, bringing wireless freedom and new colours to its Plug & Play line

Didcot, Oxfordshire, UK, 18 August 2026 – Pro-Ject Audio Systems (Pro-Ject) expands its E-Line with the E1.2 BT, bringing the line’s plug-and-play simplicity to the convenience of wireless listening.

At the heart of the E1.2 BT is a new-generation Qualcomm Bluetooth transmitter module, delivering Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity with support for aptX HD and aptX Adaptive codecs. Designed to deliver broad compatibility and reliable wireless connectivity across a wide range of Bluetooth devices, the new module gives users even greater flexibility when choosing partnering audio equipment. A dedicated pairing button also makes connecting a new device even simpler, allowing users to initiate pairing directly rather than having to power-cycle the turntable and its Bluetooth module.

The E1.2 BT can wirelessly transmit vinyl playback to compatible Bluetooth speakers, headphones and amplifiers, making it straightforward to integrate analogue playback into today’s wireless listening systems. It can also be paired with Pro-Ject’s own wireless product range, such as the Uni Box S3 or Wireless Box E, for a simple, cable-free vinyl setup.

Freedom from wires, freedom of colour

The E1.2 BT retains the key design and performance features of the EISA Award-winning E1.2 (Best Value Turntable 2025-2026), which was introduced in summer 2025. Its plug-and-play design is factory adjusted for tracking force and anti-skating, while a 730g die-cast aluminium platter provides a stable platform for vinyl playback. A pre-adjusted Pro-Ject Pick it MM E cartridge, precision tonearm and carefully engineered sub-platter and bearing complete a package designed to deliver high-quality performance with minimal setup.

The E1.2 BT also introduces a new visual dimension to the E-Line, with a vibrant selection of Colour (Colourful Audio) hand-painted finishes designed to complement contemporary interiors and Pro-Ject’s Speaker Box range. The Colour models feature a specially CNC-machined MDF chassis, combining a luxurious finish with exceptional rigidity and resonance resistance to deliver an additional step in sonic performance. Alongside the three standard finishes – High Gloss Black, Satin White and Walnut – the Colour palette includes Satin Black, Satin White, Satin Fir Green, Satin Golden Yellow and Satin Steel Blue, with the Colour finishes applied to the MDF chassis.

At the same time as launching the E1.2 BT, Pro-Ject is adding the E1.2 Phono to the E1.2 family in the UK. Based on the original E1.2 and available in the standard finishes, it adds a switchable high-quality phono preamplifier, allowing the turntable to be connected directly to any line or CD input.

Availability and Pricing

The Pro-Ject E1.2 BT is available now, priced at £399 in the three standard finishes, and £449 in the five Colour finishes.

The E1.2 Phono is available now in High Gloss Black, Satin White and Walnut, priced at £319.
