Struer – 31 March 2026
Where form is defined by touch and materials speak as loudly as sound, Bang & Olufsen presents the final two editions in its five-part Atelier centenary series: Beolab 90 Monarch Edition and Beolab 90 Zenith Edition. Following the Titan, Shadow and Mirage Editions, these creations transform the flagship loudspeaker through shaped wood, polished aluminium and carefully assembled details, revealing texture, surface and craftsmanship as the language of design itself.
Beolab 90 Monarch Edition: Sculpted in Rosewood
The Beolab 90 Monarch Edition is a study in textural sophistication and Danish furniture design heritage. Angled rosewood lamellas and precisely finished aluminium elements transform the flagship speaker into a flowing, sculptural object.
• Wood in Motion: Angled and curved rosewood lamellas follow the contours of the aluminium cabinet, creating a 360-degree rhythm that echoes classic fabric covers while introducing texture and tactility.
• Dynamic Knots: Six wooden knots connect the lamellas, with the front knot featuring a subtle light-through-wood stripe that adds dimension and visual interest.
• Architectural Flow: A solid rosewood top ring frames the speaker, while lower base panels continue the lamella pattern, unifying top to bottom in a continuous sculptural gesture.
• Material Dialogue: The contrast between the warm rosewood and ochre-coloured aluminium crowns highlights the balance of natural and engineered materials.
• Textured Acoustics: Semi-transparent fabric sections offer glimpses of the acoustic drivers behind, integrating the functional and aesthetic layers seamlessly.
The Monarch Edition celebrates Bang & Olufsen’s heritage in Danish craftsmanship, where the rhythm of the lamellas and the carefully placed wooden knots create a sense of movement around the speaker. Each element is designed to guide the eye, transforming the Beolab 90 into an object that is as considered visually as it is acoustically.

Beolab 90 Zenith Edition: A Symphony of Pearls
The Beolab 90 Zenith Edition is a study in textural precision and sculptural elegance. Drawing on Bang & Olufsen’s Atelier mastery, thousands of aluminium spheres and subtle mother-of-pearl inlays transform the flagship speaker into a luminous, tactile presence.
• Pearl Architecture: 6 panels feature 289 anodized aluminium spheres each, arranged in seven bespoke pearl-inspired colours, creating a shimmering, reflective surface that interacts with light and the environment.
• Facemask Precision: The machined aluminium facemask is pearl blasted and anodized in a dark grey to resemble an oyster shell.
• Top Lid Inlay: A circular mother-of-pearl inlay, matching the diameter of the aluminium spheres, crowns the speaker, adding a luminous focal point that complements the overall composition.
• Sculptural Flow: The panels are curved to follow the contours of the cabinet, echoing the speaker’s architectural form and integrating texture with function.
• Material Harmony: Polished aluminium crowns and semi-transparent fabric balance the visual and acoustic layers, unifying the speaker’s expressive, tactile design.
The Zenith Edition plays with reflection and texture in a subtle, almost living way. Its layered surfaces and interplay of polished and matte finishes capture light differently throughout the day, creating a dynamic visual presence that complements the acoustic mastery within, and elevates the Beolab 90 into an experience that engages multiple senses.
A Centennial Journey: Completing a Series of Atelier Masterpieces
Beolab 90 Monarch and Zenith Edition complete Bang & Olufsen’s five-part series of Anniversary Editions, joining the Shadow, Mirage, and Titan Editions as distinct expressions of Atelier craftsmanship created to mark the brand’s centenary. Each edition preserves Beolab 90’s defining acoustic performance — powered by 18 bespoke drivers and advanced beam-forming technology — while introducing new interpretations of texture, light, colour and form.
Together, the five editions stand as a tribute to a century of beautiful sound. Produced in a limited series of ten pairs per edition, each speaker is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and, when ordered, collectors receive a miniature aluminum Beolab 90 sculpture in the corresponding edition, presented in a custom aluminum delivery box — reinforcing its status as a true collector’s piece within Bang & Olufsen history.
Unveiling at Bang & Olufsen’s San Francisco Culture Store
Following the debut of the Shadow and Mirage Editions at Bang & Olufsen’s San Francisco Culture Store in December, the Beolab 90 Monarch and Zenith Editions are now set to make their first public appearance at the same location. The store, which is the largest Bang & Olufsen showroom in the world, will host these next editions as they begin their global tour, offering discerning clients an intimate encounter with the pinnacle of acoustic artistry.
