The new MA5300 is McIntosh’s most powerful compact amplifier featuring 100 watts, digital connectivity incl. USB, a headphone amp plus a phono stage for turntables
Binghamton, NY, USA, 11th October 2017: McIntosh, the global leader in prestigious home entertainment and ultimate-quality audio for over 65 years, is proud to announce the MA5300 integrated amplifier, its smallest and most powerful solid-state integrated amplifier www.jordanacoustics.co.uk (£6,750)
McIntosh’s new MA5300 integrated amplifier combines a multitude of features to make it the perfect hub for any home audio system. In addition to 100 watts of McIntosh amplification, the new amp, McIntosh’s smallest and most powerful solid-state design, offers digital connectivity including USB, a high-quality phono stage for connecting turntables and a high-performance headphone amplifier.
The MA5300 has a huge connectivity suite connectivity including six analogue inputs (four unbalanced, one balanced and one Moving Magnet) and six digital inputs (two each for coaxial and optical), one USB and one proprietary MCT for use with McIntosh MCT series SACD/CD transports).
Its digital inputs are housed within the replaceable DA1 Digital Audio Module which can be upgraded with future modules as new digital audio technologies are developed. The DA1 comes with an 8-channel, 32-bit digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) used in Quad Balanced mode and supports high-resolution audio including DSD256 and DXD 384kHz. All inputs can be given user-friendly names to simplify system control and configuration.
Design touches include the newly launched McIntosh Monogrammed Heatsinks™ which are connected to advanced high-current output transistors that eliminate warm-up time, so the MA5300 operates at full sonic capacity from switch-on.
Powerful new control microprocessors have been used to improve overall system operation, along with some of the latest audio-grade circuit components to deliver the best possible sound. Bass and treble tone controls offer personal fine tuning.
Further utilised McIntosh technologies include: Power Guard®, Sentry Monitor™, Home Theater PassThru and High Drive headphone amplifier with Headphone Crossfeed Director (HXD®). Gold-plated speaker binding posts are also included.
The classic McIntosh aesthetic of blue watt-meters, a black glass front panel with aluminium end-caps and control knobs, plus illuminated logo complete the MA5300.
